In 1999, Julie was awarded the distinguished honor of Master Photographer. This title is given only to those who excel in the art of photography and whose work stands out from the crowd. It is the highest honor that a professional photographer can receive from her peers. Julie received her Craftsman in 2002 and won the Annie Award for Broadcast advertising in 1999. She also is a national lecturer. Julie has won many national awards for her work. They include:
